More Good News!

It's official! Tripping on the heels of my Golden Heart final... I sold another novella! I am not a One Book Wonder! My new novella, Serengeti Heat, a steamy lion-shifter romance, will be part of the July sexy shape-shifter anthology from Samhain. Woohoo!

Also appearing in the anthology will be The Man of Her Dreams by Robie Madison & Kiss and Kin by debut author Kinsey W. Holley!

Serengeti Heat is a departure from The Ghost Shrink (et al). Less har-de-har-har and more bow-chicka-bow-wow. And I must say, it was fun testing my boundaries on the sexy side of the scale. Fear not, faithful reader, I am not abandoning the laugh track for good, but I might have to visit the lion pride again in the future.

Le question du jour: Is laughter really the best aphrodisiac or do you think there is a natural seriousness to the sensuous?

And one more time: WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!

Congratulations on sale #2 Vivi! I love it that your hot shifter story will be coming out in the heat of summer...and right around the time the Golden Hearts are awarded!

Interesting question on laughter vs serious sensuality as the best aphrodisiac. For me, both is best. What attracts me most is someone who has a quick wit and a quirky, naughty sense of humor (including the abilty to laugh at themself), backed by a deeply sensuous side and the openness to explore it. Laughing releases endorphins -- a sensual spice?

CONGRATS*

Also, I would like to think that laughter is a serious aphrodisiac, up there with other adrenaline-rushing experiences like mutually experienced fear of impending death. Somehow, even that now sounds amusing. I am fearful, however, that laughter becomes detrimental if it continues once it has served its purpose as aphrodisiac.

In conclusion, I got nothin'.

Ooh! Difficult question.

When I'm reading a romance novel for pleasure, I want something with humor. I think many stories can be funny and sexy at the same time.

But humorous erotica? I don't think I've ever read erotica that made me giggle (well, on purpose). So I don't think I can answer the question.

Humor is a turn-on... but whether or not it's an aphrodisiac remains to be seen.

In short, to quote memi, "I got nothin'"
